TORONTO – Footage of a fire travelling along electrical wires after a windstorm in Lachine, a borough in Montreal, has gone viral.

The video appears to show a glowing fireball travelling through the surrounding area before it flashes brightly outside the house the video was recorded from.

To date, the video has over 2.7 million views on YouTube.

Hundreds of thousands of people found themselves without power in central Canada after heavy winds swept through Ontario and Quebec on Friday.

In Quebec, violent winds as strong as 90 km/h in some areas, accompanied by heavy rain, left more than 300,000 without power.
