SASKATOON – A roof at a Saskatoon church was damaged after catching on fire Saturday afternoon.
Work was being done on the roof of St Timothy’s Anglican Church at 2101 Lansdowne Avenue when workers reported the fire at 12:52 p.m.
The church was evacuated and checked by Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services.
A chain saw was used to open up the roof where firefighter found flames.
Officials say the fire was extinguished with minimal water damage.
A damage estimate or the cause is unavailable at this time.
No injuries were reported.
