SASKATOON – Saskatoon firefighters extinguish blaze in the Dundonald neighbourhood on Saturday.

Fire crews were called to a report of a house fire at 131 George Road around 11:43 a.m.

Crews quickly arrived to find a residential house with an attached garage fully engulfed.

Officials say crews performed an aggressive attack to confirm there were no occupants inside the house at the time.

The blaze was brought under control in around a half hour.

As a result of the fire, one firefighter suffered minor injuries.

There was extensive damage to the interior and the roof of the house.

Damage is estimated at $450,000.

A fire investigator is currently on scene.
